I note the "PP" product placement icon is still cleverly blended in over a mess of text, stars, glitter etc.

I noticed there was the ITV HD DOG there, is it actually in HD now or just flagging it as HD?

I think it's the +1 blob. The programme still remains SD only.

It remains one of the only SD ITV shows to air through the day. They must have HD plans for some point.

I would imagine the extended version of the new one will be pretty good as well...

It is indeed the '+1 Blob' as I wasn't watching TV to catch it on ITV HD.

Definitely. Hopefully it'll come around soon along with some beds, break bumpers and ending titles!

A really decent refresh - new but undoubtedly familar, both the theme and the titles.

Those pods in the hub look awful though - and they know it.

After many listens, it is growing on me, but I don't think that it's as fresh & current sounding as the 2009 - 2013 theme.
They did have a good play with those pods which push away around the hub. I don't understand the point of them at all. What is the iPad attached to the top of them supposed to be there for anyway?

I actually think this updated music is better than the 2009 update, however there are certain parts where you can definitely tell its been created on a DAW...

I'm still not sure about this 'new look'. The graphics have been changed on some things but on other things they haven't. For example. There were 2 new break bumpers and the rest were the old ones. The straps had old design backgrounds and some new ones. Just all seems half done.
But I do like the new menu ending where all the time cards spread across the screen.

Did anyone manage to catch the menu music?

I like the new theme, although it does sound very 'Casio Keyboard' towards the end. However the bed is too complicated and you could tell they weren't sure how to use it when they were introducing the serious item at the start of the show.
