Nope not interested one little bit. It is itv after all, nothing interests me with that network anymore
It looks like your logo, a bit! ha
It's different it has to be said, will have to see how it's executed on sports and news programmes, I reckon MDTA is buzzing with ideas on how to do this.

Exactly!
I'm a fan of abstract logo's, but my first impressions (remember, first impressions) are that it's almost a sign of ITV's lack of progress from it's current mess.
Any TV network would have a hard job at matching the effort put into the BBC and Channel 4's corporate logo's, but this just seems like another logo destined for the scrapheap in less than a decade .

yeah, in one ident an old woman drives very slowly past a shop in a mobility scooter, with the logo slapped on of course.
That's the worry, there's going to be a ton of idents which are all just clips with the logo slapped on - just like the current lot. Can only hope that the C4 idea of integrating the logo in the environment is used.

Most of the current set incorporate CG and effects, turning into at least something a bit more interesting than a straight everyday scene. If the new set are just plain clips, that's probably got more in common with the 2006 idents.

I thought I'd leave It a day or two to see if my opinion of the new logo changes before passing my judgement, although I'm not sure.. I think I like it, but I also think that it looks a little informal for one of the largest television broadcasters in the UK. I never thought that one day, Channel 5 would have a more sensible looking logo than ITV.
I'm interested in seeing how the flexible, colour-changing, mood setting logo will work. Surely if the ident is a woman loading a washing machine and a green/brown logo appears, it will just look clumsy and messy or will the idents match the programme too? Will we see special show themed idents like Channel 5 or Sky1?
I hope this rebrand works out although I'm not holding my breath. I have a feeling that it could be a success but also another that after eight months it will look tired. That ITV will get bored of the theme-setting and colour changing, and that we will be sat this time next year complaining just like we have done in recent months about how tired the current look appears.
