Kasia Madera now in N9. The set still looks quite fresh, IMO, although they've avoided the plasma shot thus far today, as far as I could tell.

Also unusual to hear Adam Parsons actually filing a report for the channel, as opposed to be reading the news.

I think one of the reasons it doesn't look too bad is because it has an N6 style desk, unlike N8, which always looks quite nice when it's used for elections, etc. On top of this, the newsroom in the background is quite nice, and lit up nicely.

Which part of the studio are they using?

The usual part, if you know what I mean. The position that was used before World moved into N8. The newsroom in the background has some nice red accents and the lighting on the set is great now.

^ Maybe Marine will be alternating with Naga on the 5am slot just like Komla used to do.

Yes, that's what I meant. But, even though, the slot always had a third presenter, mainly on Fridays and other random days. It was Martine herself who did this. Naga never does five days on World, but often does four on World and one on Breakfast.

So the team of Naga, Komla and Martine may now become Naga, Martine and another?

Are you available for the slot, Rados?

I'm waiting for Beeb to call me. Laughing

I get your point now and you're right. Maybe Chris Rogers could do Fridays since he's been replacing Martine on her weekend shift lately. Naga/Marine as main presenters will be great though Komla was very good too.

Does anyone know anything about the look of Focus on Africa and the return of Business Edition. I'm assuming Business Edition will use the same titles and look, but will Focus on Africa get a new theme tune or like Newsday just get the Standard BBC News Theme?

Does Focus on Africa not exist as a radio programme already. If not there is certainly news programmes aimed at Africa on the World Service. I don't know if either of these have themes, but if they did it would make sense to use on tv as well.

A second long? It lasts nearly an hour!

And I missed the reference to the theme so my mistake - must look more carefully in future Wink

Adam also occasionally files together reports for the News Channel here in the UK. Quite good at it infact.

I really like Adam Parsons and it's a shame he doesn't present more often. He really comes across as having such a friendly and affable approach towards the viewer whilst being on screen, and seems like the sort of guy you could have a good yarn with over a pint in the local pub. He also exudes authority which is needed for the more heavyweight items.

There will be a new theme tune for the programme on World News AFAIK.
