A shame really it isn't for something more specific - most schools probably do something for Children in Need anyway - indeed shouldn't it be for an international charity this year considering it was for Whizz Kids last year?

The appeal choice seems lazy, I'm not sure why they're not doing it for an independent cause.

Well it will stop the 'we don't wanna help forefingers brigade' moaning.

Well I grew up watching Blue Peter in the 90's to early 00's and I like this new look, the set reminds me of something they would have had in the 2000 era with a bit of a mix of 80's and 90's and it is 2011 who wants a Blue Peter book?? come on the show has got to move with the times and I think they have done a good job.

Ah, the "when in doubt, make it 3D" philosophy.

Does the job. Visuals are a tad too slow for the, erm, music.

Just been listening to the 1999 music a few times over the last few days. It's still as good as it ever was. Amazingly beautiful rendition of the theme, shame it was only used until 2004. Skip to 3:26.

David Arnold, a musical genius. He has a QuickTime embedded video of the titles used on his website if you'd prefer some visuals.

The first O Come All Ye Faithful at Salford - and it's pretty nice. I especially like the nod to their famous nativity scene at the end.

Nicely done. Smile

I see Barney seems to have become attached to his Consider Yourself jumper!

It should have been "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and I love how they state it is a big BP tradition.

Nice song but Helen sounded a bit pessimistic at the end there.
