Sky News: Presenters & Rotas

It seems Sky have dropped Paul Harrison's title of "Royal Correspondent", as he is now reporting on the strikes.

Broadcasters do that all the time when their Royal Correspondents cover other stories - the prime example is Nicholas Witchell as he covers the media ethics inquiry

Alistair Bunkall who is business correspondent was covering a foreign story at the weekend aswell. Sky do that from time to time, I presume if their short staffed. I remember Matt Smith covered some general news stories back when he was entertainment correspondent and of course Sam Kiley becoming the occasional foreign correspondent.

Does Kay Burley speak fluent French? I'm pretty sure she's currently translating a speech being made by President Sarkozy, if it's not her it's certainly someone who sounds like her.

I am sure she speaks a *certain* type of French! Particularly when grabbing a photographer by the throat.

Seriously though, I don't know if she does.

A few weeks ago Adam Boulton was also giving live commentary of Sarkozy, so either they both speak French or they were being fed a translated commentary.

Interesting. Wonder if he's replacing Mark Longhurst or Gillian Joseph.

According to his twitter, he is replacing Mark who will do lates. Basically a switch which I think is a good idea as Mark, in my opinion, is under used at Sky
