Or so you'd think. When Midlands Today moved in 2004 Nottingham had to broadcast the programme for them, it could be the case for this weekend that the nearest Look North broadcast a North-wide NWT...
That could be difficult branding wise - Look North and Northwest Today/Tonight are utterly different brands, whereas Midlands Today and East Midlands Today are much closer ... Last time Manchester had major refurbishment works they broadcast from Liverpool ISTR. Certainly be interesting to see what they do...
I think it will come for the same studio in Manchester for the weekend, although there is a chance it could come from Liverpool or the Manchester Newsroom like they have done in the past.
It will be interesting to see what happens on Monday, where will the Breakfast updates come from and the lunchtime news? and the new show launches at 6.30?
If they're were to use Liverpool they could use Oxford Road, surely? When they were at Radio Merseyside that was for work on the studio floor, they were still working into the usual gallery. I can't imagine they're going to be taking much kit with them to Salford?
When Leeds moved the weekend bulletins were from the usual studios, although Sunday wasn't self-op as usual, it was driven from a gallery elsewhere (whether that was the main studio gallery or the new studio centre I don't know).

I imagine it's the case of taking NBH out of circuit that could cause the issues.
Last nights report was very poor and was not even worth doing, tonights was ok, but felt it was missing something,....there is def a lack of chemistry between roger and ranvia. I do feel she might end up leaving or she might just explode and give him a mouthful on screen,
a good tribute would have been to get back the old staff and let them present in the last week.
example Martin henfield presenting and feligity goodey reporting. It's A pity they did not get the whole of the old presenters and reports into the studio for the last day.
Having been over in Manchester all week I have seen a lot of the programme. Having previously experienced Roger Johnson on the News Channel I was gobsmacked when he was announced as the replacement to Gordon Burns. And from the looks of things he is as wooden and cold as ever on NWT.
Those very awkward closes to the programme are more so with him there.
