They use the faster paced theme for Sportline mainly and I like that part shame it is not used more.
Just caught the Stephen Dixon shot with chairs behind. Has the table been turned further around giving that shot, or is the camera slightly higher looking down.
the background behind lorna has changed a bit on the left of the two screens that show skynews.com there is a blue wall and itīs not red anymore as it was before

This would only be slightly more fathomable if Sky were looking to simulcast some of the Sky News programming on Sky1. Things like 'Afternoon Live' would probably appear more like chat shows if they popped up in the Sky1 scheduling. However, this doesn't seem to be the case, therefore it doesn't appear to be warranted.

I dont think simulcasting on Sky1 serves any purpose unlike BBC News on BBC One does. Maybe PickTV. But then why ruin a perfectly good portfolio of individual programmes and promote them to change the name (and presentation/format if someone said that was happening) for a freeview channel. I am sure it could be put on the EPG as 'Sky News' on PickTV without changing the name on Sky News.
Interestingly enough, the only change in show names that's mentioned on the Sky Programme Information site is the change made to Live at Five on the day of the Royal Wedding.
