Combine Fiver and Five USA, relocate all the kids' shows on to it and call it Five-R-US.

I fail to see how changing it back to Channel 5 will make a difference. The fact that this brand is so strong but viewers still aren't flocking to FIVE shows it's not the look of the channel that's the problem; it's the programming.

but that also means the brand will have to change, as people will still see "Five" and think CRAP. I think there is some wisdom in what he is doing, but of course some changes in programmes will be needed aswell.

Merging Fiver and Five USA would allow to make one strong channel rather than two average performing channels and use the available space for a Milkshake Channel or Five HD.

Rebrand Five USA to Dollar.

But people saw "Channel 5" as CRAP.

Five at least for me does mean some degree of aptitude and quality, Channel 5 just reminds me of the tacky trash heap it was up until it changed.

According to Digital Spy Ian Wright has left the dire evening programme Live from Studio Five.

His presentation style was probably one of the more irritating aspects of the programme, so it may begin to improve: if they actually keep it going, that is!

This was mentioned in a post at the top of this page. Yours however was written in English so was easier to understand.

Ian was a terrible presenter but he made TV Gold with his stupid and deluded opinions. I shall miss him. This si the kiss of death for Live from Studio Five.

I didn't consider his half-witted ramblings TV gold. More TV slurry.

He spoke over the other presenters and guests, and when he wasn't the one speaking he was mugging to camera, mouthing words and making gestures like a toddler trying to get attention.

Good riddance.

And to think 10 years ago the BBC were hell-bent on making him "Mr Saturday Night"!
