So it's official that the new name for ITV Breakfast, and the show replacing GMTV is Daybreak. I thought it was time to start a new thread to discuss any news that comes from the Daybreak insiders, and for you to put forward what you want to see come September 6th.
I think its best to cover the transitional period over in the GMTV thread, so people will get all the news in one place as instead being spread throughout two unecessary threads.
Seconded. I think it's best for discussion to continue as normal in the GMTV thread, and for Asa or one of the mods to, as usual, start a locked Daybreak thread nearer to launch date.

Surely best to discuss Daybreak in it's own thread now while we can talk about the final days of GMTV in that thread.The two I think now deserve separate threads.

Not until there's actually anything to talk about. Currently all this thread would be full of is "isn't the logo purple" and "doesn't it look a bit like the facebook logo?". Once details about the programme actually start getting released, maybe it will be time to open a thread, but for now, the only details (name, logo, and presenters) can only be discussed in the context of being GMTV's replacement, and therefore the GMTV thread is the right place for that discussion.
I'm all for a separate thread - I'm fed up with the discussion being mixed into two as the ending of one show and the beginning of another - however closely they may be linked - are essentially two different things.
This thread can now focus solely on speculation and news about what Daybreak may be like and any additional signings they may make, whilst the GMTV thread can concentrate on how they bring to an end the brand and the show after 18 years.
