Better, but not great at least the video is in the right place now. They went widescreen as well.

Setanta Sports News has relaunched this morning with new on-air graphics.
Looks much nicer and more professional than the last lot, and is in line with Setanta's new football graphics.

Great to see the channel's now in widescreen. I wondered why the presenter on the right and the lower third "headings" were so badly cut-off on the setanta.com homepage player -- it's still set to 4:3!
The white space at the bottom is pretty big -- I wonder if the text message ticker or similar will return at some point.

They've been mixing the 'txt' messages in with the news/results on the single ticker.
While there new look is looking nice, the same can't be said about the content. Sky have been hours ahead in some cases today on the various transfer/ownership stories.

I think that they're still finding their feet - it's difficult to match such a large and popular operation as Sky Sports News, but they'll get there eventually. That said, most big transfer speculation has been covered pretty swiftly whenever i've seen it this afternoon.
They seem to have lost the date and time on-screen, though the new graphics package has been running a lot smoother than the last.

I'm amazed that BBC Sport aren't running a score type programme tonight for the deadline night of the transfer window. Its been such an eventfull day and Sky Sports News have been brilliant first for everything, which makes me wonder whether a BBC programme first on the multiscreen, then on BBC One after the News at 10, would pull in ratings.
