Can I ask a simple question?

How many of the people who constantly complain about Look North for Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire actually live in the Belmont transmission area?

Over here we used to get our news from Leeds and this area used to get one token story per day if we were lucky. We now get a full programme and in my opinion this is progress. I do not know anyone at all in Hull who thinks we were better off before the split.

It's a bit like saying "we used to get the Times - it hardly mentioned our village, now all we get is the Village newsletter and we don't hear about anything outside of it."

Oh for Goodness' bloody sake - quit with this tired routine! It's not like that at all (research proves it), you're exaggerating the extent beyond the pail, and why do you watch it anyway if your'e so against it?

Can we take it then from your contributions on here that you're some sort of televisual sado-masochist?

Oh yes, I can't wait for Peter to introduce his lie detector, and bring on a couple of Hull chavs for a DNA test.

YAY!!!!!!!!! I think it could work - perhaps the programme should have an audience and they could boo whenever someone is from Lincolnshire County Council and Peter utters the immortal first question of "Well XXXX (insert issue here) is embarrassing isn't it!?"

oh yes, and peters banter boot camp, for those who fail to see the light and shade and those who continue to insist that weather SHOULD be at the end of the programme.

how about the "end of the pier show", or more aptly "end of the career show"

Oh yes I can imagine the programme titles now... "I'm in love with a shortarse fashion victim."

Don't really care - he's pedalling inaccurate nonsense and is being excessively and absurdly negative towards a bunch of people who have tried in good faith (and made a good effort) to find a solution to East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire's under-representation on the old regional format.

I might have been hostile in the past, but now I've seen this new region in action, my mind has changed. The people of the region seem to be satistied with it as it enjoys the second-greatest audience share (BBC V ITV) in the country behind Spotlight/Westcountry. I notice that in the RTS Yorkshire Awards 2005, Look North Hull was nominated twice in the 'Innovative Idea of the Year' category and won the award with their 'Spark TV' project.
