So if it was repeated on N24 that means that it was known about in London... so why did the network anno promo Airport over the end of EastEnders?

Probably because some marketing genius decreed that it was more important to promote Airport as it was on in more regions than the Look North Special.

It's not without precedent either. Network did exactly the same when about half the English regions were opting out for their regional sports personality programmes about six months ago.

Surprised none of you have yet picked up on the fact I had an e-mail read out on the show last night.....

I really can't see what the huge problem with Look North Hull is. I watched it today on Sky and can't see anything wrong with it. To be honest, how much hard news can there be in one small area? Lincolnshire is hardly Iraq.

We were all too busy watching ITV West News at the time.

Brilliant stuff - glad someone else remembers it! I especially loved the BBC 1 globe ident beforehand with the words 'Bloody Abysmal Regional Television' at the bottom. Genius.

If you're that keen to see me in work, are you going to give me a job? No? Not that desperate to see me work then....... I have tried to get work - over 175 times in the last ten years, all without success so it's not through lack of effort on my part.

Stop pedalling the banal Look Hull rubbish too (yes, others are equally guilty on here but fail to realise it) - it's not that Hull-centred. You probably know this anyway (why should you care about the content of its programming when you live so far away?) but are persisting in using this line just to get my back up. As far as I see it, your only reason in coming to this forum is to annoy me.

Why not divert this energy into doing something positive about where you live, and leave people in my region alone to give us news in whatever way they want? Surely that would be more productive.... would it not?
