I didn't realise they made so few episodes. I suppose when it is spread out over several years, it seems like that made more than 16. Have they released a DVD yet with all 16 episodes on?
They have made a sort of a Documentry DVD and all of the 1st series + The Christmas Lunch Special on a DVD as well!
Does anyone know if the characters (not the actors) from The Vicar Of Dibley and Father Ted ever crossed over and met each other in a special? All I can reme, ber that came close was Ted and Dougal hosting part of Comic Relief 1997 and a Dibley special appearing on the same night. Did they introduce it?

Why would they? One was C of E, and one was Roman Catholic. One lived on an island that you could find on a map, and one in Oxfordshire.
Tonight on BBC2 at 9.00pm Carol Vorderman expresses her love for my favourite programme ever. Obviously, "The Vicar of Dibley". In last weeks TVTimes Dawn French hinted that she would like to do more episodes so I am hoping that Richard Curtis will watch tonights show and decide to pen at least a one off Christmas Special of this often hilarious sitcom. I'm dreaming of a Dibley Christmas, Just Like the one's I used to know, where the old folks dribble and residents nibble on Cropley food that makes you throw...............

I would love to see how Alice and Hugo's daughter turned out (!!!!)
To be honest I don't agree with Vicar of Dibley being in the vote.
I have to disagree, it is one of the best, and it got my vote. All the original characters are still alive, albeit looking a lot older, and I think it would be a real shame to miss out on the opportunity to make more whilst the actors are still able to do so.

I don't think so, but they did have the Comic Relief special Ballykissdibley where, obviously, the vicar from Ballykissangel came to Dibley to stay with Geraldine

Slightly OT but there was a Ballykissangel with Father Ted in the Christmas episode from 1996, as the saying goes it was short and sweet and very funny.
