I didn’t think Mark Stone was long into his spell as Middle East Correspondent? But perhaps covid has blurred the passing of time!
If Mark’s staying it might be a wider reshuffle or if he’s going we could see someone new externally take up Ali’s role of Defence Correspondent.

Alastair Bunkall was a great asset to Sky’s US Election coverage, co-hosted a few hours with Kay I seem to remember and provided good insight and analysis.


Mark Stone is going to Washington to replace Amanda Walker, who's coming back to the UK for a role which is yet to be announced.

Mark Stone went to Middle East in September 2019, and Adam Parsons went to Brussels. Although Adam has been in the US recently.

I really don't know where to put this - so I'll put it here:

The Sky Group website is not working

It's only the homepage and "Logos" pages that aren't working, though - as far as I've seen, the rest works just fine... Razz

Kimberley has been doing various daytime shifts recently, don’t think she’s done an overnight since before Christmas. Caught Sky News Today and thought Kimberley was very good on the oscars coverage as the nominations were been announced live, whereas I think some other anchors can sometimes struggle/look awkward during showbiz/lighter stories.

Also Lucy Cotter in the studio too, socially distanced at the desk, and just dawned on me that I’ve sort of missed reporters being live in the studio, as opposed to at home/from the newsroom. The ‘live from newsroom’ shot post-covid works as sort of breaking news type thing but for more analysis type stuff, it’s nice having the reporters in the studio I feel.

Newer posts
