Assuming it stays in London and they’re moving studio, there’s always the mothballed old Newsnight/Derbyshire studio.

The gallery set ups are very different between the two studios.

Even BBC logic doesn't revive a mothballed studio to replace an eight week old set. The set is absolutely fine and there would be no logic to changing it. If Lorraine and Loose Women can cope with a 2.5 hour turnaround then Morning Live and The One Show can manage a 9 hour turnaround.

Never heard of Loose Women and Loose Women changing their set.

Well thats once a year rather than once a day.

The reason a programme works is the mixture of chemistry between the presenters, set and content. The overall look of Morning live was designed to be cosy - not to mention inexpensive.
It would make sense to remove the remains of the 'one' and have a newer look for the one show which would free up the windows into Langham / all souls place which is why the studio was built there. Bunging up the windows made no sense at all.
Both shows are popular and good value.

Agreed. This would allow Morning Live to expand their set and open up some more of the area in front of the windows. Hopefully they’ll have a little declutter at the same time as - whilst I like the feel of the set - it’s a bit too busy with brick and brack.

Morning Live has a OB segment with Simon Calder which looks like it's being shot on a phone and it looks awful. Surely as it counts as work, they could have sent a camera crew.

Also, can the mods please change the title of the thread to Morning Live.

Simon Calder almost always self-shoots, even pre-pandemic.

I notice that Crimewatch Roadshow is airing at 11am next week which suggests that Morning Live is likely staying at 0915 for the foreseeable future.

The audience appreciation data for the programme is excellent, actually better than the One show. Having permanent hosts is popular too. The BBC has a good and affordable programme on their hands.

I've only watch it on and off but it's a very good programme. Only thing I think they should drop is the exercise segment but I reckon they'll keep that until Gyms and Leisure Centres reopen.
