In design terms, 'clean' generally means simple and uncluttered - design principles that Fox News never seem to have heard of.

Clean looking? Really? It looks terrible.

I guess you havent looked at the monstrosities from FNC in the past. This 2020 version is definitely clean.

And the previous version. 2020 version is definitely CLEAN.

If a US election set isn't hideous is it really a US election set?

Full BBC Schedule

BBC One, BBC News Channel & BBC World News
23:30-13:00 Election Night in America
Afternoon TBC

BBC Two
09:00-10:00 BBC News at Nine
11:45-13:00 Prime Ministers Questions

I'm surprised they are running it on BBC One during the morning, with no Breakfast, and none of the usual daytime schedule

This will no doubt be controversial if there are some Covid related developments domestically that are ignored

In that case they'll just swap BBC 1 and 2 round, with World staying with the US Election, and The News Channel staying with UK Covid, or is that showing just too much common sense ?

I have a dream that one day the BBC will remember that countries other than the United States have elections.

I'm not saying they shouldn't cover the US election like this, but when you compare it to the coverage levels of say German elections, it does seem disproportionate. Germany is having a parliamentary election next year and, based on previous elections, its results will be lucky to get top spot on the News at Six.

Any I only learnt from catching a snatch of C5 News that the Republic of Island are returning to a 'March 2020' style national lockdown next week. I've not heard any mention of that on the BBC, ITV, C4, or Sky (Radio) News ?

I’m sure I heard it mentioned on the BBC News at Ten one night this week. Could be wrong though.

Yes, Emma Vardy did a long report on it on both the Six and Ten, pretty high up the running order too.

Fair enough then, I thought I'd maxed myself out this week for news !

It was second on the ITV News at Ten last night. Wrong topic but the NI actions seem to get less coverage than Scotland and Wales too.
