TV Forum: New for (the middle of) 2020

Can I add to those saying I prefer the new font size on the desktop. Previously in Firefox I had TVF permanently zoomed to 133% as it was so much smaller than other sites - now I'm back on 100%.

Apologies if this has been brought up (haven’t read the whole thread) but on Safari for iPad the page number controls in threads have disappeared from the bottom. So have to scroll up to the top to change page. Minor thing but would be great for them to return.

There ought to be a television presentation website presentation website, containing screenshots of TV Forum through the years, perhaps sourced from low quality VHS transfers. For extra authenticity, it could go offline for years and years pending a full rebuild.

In all seriousness, it’d be fascinating to look back. I know there’s web.archive.org but it’s not quite the same with missing images and so on!

Very nice update indeed! Really pleased so see a dark mode though I wish the header was dark blue too; have always preferred the dark one used at Christmas.

lol, nice dig at TV Ark there. They were down for a long time. The Wayback Machine saves everything now, but yeah, older archives often are missing graphics, stylesheets, and Flash elements.

As an aside I've been using this forum a hell of a lot more during this lockdown as a great distraction from the new monotony of everyday life so thank you for providing me with this much-needed source of entertainment and information!

The little test card effect that pops up when you post (I think, it's the only reason I'm writing this post ) is a really nice touch.

I think it also pops up if you get kudo'ed. Definitely not writing this post to see it again!

A little bug in the email - the manage subscriptions link isn't a complete URL (the unsubscribe link is okay).

i think i'm experiencing a bug with DMs.... it says i have a unread DM but when i click on it nothing shows up

When I quote a post and break my reply into paragraphs, the first and second paragraphs aren't separated unless I put extra line breaks in.
