This site closed in March 2021 and is now a read-only archive

As of midnight, rather like the Channel 5 idents introduced in 2015*, there is a noticeable lack of a logo.
* See how hard I try to keep everything on the topic of TV presentation? Wink

EDIT: I see that overnight, my question has been answered. Many congratulations on hitting two decades online! Amazing achievement. Have some Party Rings™ on me!

Is this an Oracle style closure where P100 gradually vanishes?

Hip hip, Hooray,
Hip hip. Hooray.
Hip hip. Hooray.

This will be my final post as 330 seems like a more rounded figure but will still lurk for the next week until the TV Live Forum gets going. So to Mr. Hicks thank you for a brilliant site (including TV Home in that comment). And for the last time. AaronLancs siging out.

Thanks all. A bittersweet birthday this, isn't it? Lack of logo overnight was me uploading it to the wrong place. You'd think I'd know where to put things by now.

Interesting oddity though: if I look through all the really old forum posts I made from my profile: https://www.tvforum.co.uk/forums/search/Neil+Jones/page-622 for example, they all show as having received kudos from some mystery individual.

Sadly there's no phantom kudoer, it was just a bug on the search results. Older posts can be given kudos back to around 2010 I think, which a few people have randomly done.

Post counts can drift a bit for a few reasons - the search system is different from the rest of the site although it should really pick up all posts. I think pre-crash members had their post count restored so that may be slightly out too. After the close I'll update the counts to reflect the actual number of posts available.

There's now a link on the right hand side of forum pages to order by most replies within the first 24 hours. This is a good gauge of just some of the big topics we've discussed over the years. Turns out a lot of people had things to say about Oneness on that New Years' Day (and apparently Piers Morgan more recently Shocked).

Happy birthday TV Forum, to run it for 20 years is some achievement! Just sorry it's the last one.

With "War on Terror" being up there. Its threads like that that really bring it home how long this forum has been around. That being the one that initially broke during regional programmes on ITV.

Clearly that list is pretty much made up of rebrands, breaking news or breakdowns!

Pleasantly surprised that ‘BBC OFF AIR’ is still so high up despite being so early on in the forum’s life, I remember the growth of that thread being genuinely astonishing at the time.

Also the Newsroom list brings home how bloody awful those few months in 2017 were with a terrorist attack happening seemingly every month in the UK for a while.
