I guess they had to put a programme such as Garden Rescue on between this and the daily conference, else it might look like trolling by the schedulers. Razz

Very odd that there was no apology, or mention that it would be shown at a later date. It seems the continuity is as bad as the idents.

That was awful. Binning the bank holiday family film without so much as an apology and practically cartwheeling into a daily gardening show?

However, pretty much bang on for the intro into WILTY Very Happy

Since when was anyone who wrote into POV ever taken seriously?

Unfortunately this saga shows that the BBC needs a new Political Editor. Repeatedly, over the past number of years, the actions of Laura Kuenssberg show that she’s not up to the job. She’s far too often part of the story instead of reporting on the story. I don’t doubt her personal integrity but the BBC’s coverage was hamstrung this weekend due to the fact she was so closely aligned to the story. The BBC wasn’t able to field their top team because she was part of the story. Equally Brillo is up to his neck in it, due to his duties at the Spectator. This is is not a political rant but one of bias in Andrew Neil’s case and shear ineptitude on the part of Laura K.

What a load of nonsense. Sheer nonsense, you might say.

Typical shoddy continuity there, as no notification of what has happened to the billed programme, just that there has been a change.

I agree the continuity has gone rapidly downhill in recent years

If only the BBC had a news channel that they could have used for the ever lengthening Cummingsthon, leaving BBC 1 free to cover everything and anything else (and I include non Cummings CV19 news, which seems to have more or less vanished for the last 72 hours)

Kay Burley skewering Michael Gove. Has to be said Sky have had a great last few days.

As has Beth Rigby-she was on fire yesterday with both of her questions at both Press Conferences.

I have found myself watching Sky News much more during the COVID-19 pandemic than before it. Even during the election I barely watched it, but I do prefer their coverage of the pandemic compared to BBC or ITV.
