Presumably all news bulletins are benefiting from this ratings wise.

Nadine Dorries MP has tested positive for Coronavirus.

Under Secretary for Health ironically. Could be interesting, she has been at work, doing constituency surgeries and in No. 10 in the last week.

Probably caught it from Boris after he shook hands with all those Coronavirus patients at the hospital that didn't have any.

On tonight's Holby City, it appears they've done a EastEnders where they've inserted a recently filmed scene between two characters discussing the coronavirus.

I'm not sure it was "recently filmed" as it wasn't a discussion - I think they just dubbed in one extra line on top of the existing scene, although it was, for once, pretty seamlessly done.

CNN's Democratic Presidential debate will be without an audience.

I maintain that ignorance and hysteria are both dangerous in a situation like this.

The media which should work to prevent the former, unfortunately permeates the latter.

I heard Nigel Farage last night on LBC saying Central London is now deserted. I don't know which C London he's referring to, but it's not the one I travel to. I'm sat on a train to London right now, and I'd say there are 20% more passengers than usual for this time! Everyone is very jumpy though, when someone sneezes all heads turn.

Well he's been claiming they are no go areas due to immigrants for years. Saddens me the media keep giving airtime to this liar - the last thing any coverage needs is input from Farage.

There was a report on Look North the other night saying that tourist hot spots like York were very quiet.

The sped up footage walking around the streets didnt exactly look deserted and at the end of the day, it was a Monday in March, not August Bank Holiday Weekend.

I seem to encounter fewer people in London taking photos, so that probably represents a drop in tourist levels, but as you say they are a low proportion anyway at this time of year

I went into central London last Friday and it was slightly quieter than usual, with largely office workers than tourists compared to recent weeks.
