E4, More4, Film4 and 4Music Rebrand:

STV used to do this back in 2006 with the ECP.

Yep, it's title is 'cinematic ident', it's one of those production/distributor stings you see at the start of a film

Isn't the Demand 5 thing some ridiculous policy that some platforms get the rebadged My5 but on others they continue to call and brand it Demand5 for whatever reason, even though they have the capability to rebrand it?

It's just laziness.

They continued to use the old Channel 5 DOG well after the last rebrand on Sky catch-up.

I think the old DOG lasted for well over a year after the rebrand, even though the other branding changed shortly after the rebrand.

The old logo is still used on both the PS3 and PS4 apps, some two and a half years after the rebrand. I can maybe just about understand why they may be reluctant to rebrand the PS3 app, what with it being a legacy platform now, but I'm gobsmacked that they haven't changed it on PS4.

They ain't gonna change it on PS3 (rather than being reluctant), the console truly died out in 2016 with the dearth of releases. It already tanked in sales straight after PS4 released.

I'd agree with the PS4 app, just a shame that they aren't being consistent with their on-demand branding. But then again, PS4 isn't exactly a media powerhouse.

Back to E4, and hey who now wants to see my copy of that ECP you've already seen? What, no?

Well okay then, something new instead. It looks like the Celebs Go Dating series 5 break bumpers started airing on the channel yesterday. I wasn't sure if they might just skip them completely this time round what with only just having launched the brand new look, but nope it seems they've still done a new batch, complete with the new logo in the background now.

Always one for the social media hashtags, E4 have been running special pre-recorded links into most junctions today to mark #NationalComingOutDay . With messages recorded by a variety of famous people designed to resonate with their target audience from film directors to Hollyoaks actors.

C4 were too.

At long last TWO MORE idents ( neither seem to be included in that showreel) have turned up this evening... does that mean we still have another six to come?

More new idents from E4 appearing for the end of October. It's certainly the first time I've spotted them this evening and I have recordings for E4 going most days - although checking the logs, I did miss yesterday.
