That white wall behind them, I wonder if that's separating their set from This Morning's? I'd have thought it would be open plan though.

I did too!

As both programmes seem to be replicating their current designs, both utilise the four walls, or at least corners against some of them so it would make sense to have some sort of divide. Of course we're unsure of their positioning in the studio, but the way that the cameras are pointed behind them would imply that the desk would be in front of them - if they're keeping the ending from the desk and if the desk is in a similar position to the current set.

As for the test drives, I understand that they take place, do they utilise the live links to outside broadcasts already in place for the actual broadcast?

If it is, it can't be closed up too much as they'll be sharing the same cameras between the two programmes. A big wall in between both sets would be a right pain! Possibly the start of a bit of unfinished set? Or could be something to hide a storage/tech area perhaps?

Wow. I'd manage to forget how badly lit and conceived the Daybreak studio was. (And that was after some improvements wasn't it?)

When you say ‘was’ which studio do you mean?

It does look like undecorated stud walls. I'll be reading far to much into this picture, but on the right hand side the bottom edge seems to sit further back (near to where the jacket is hanging), could this be a sliding wall?

It could be as simple as partitioning things off while construction is still underway on the other set so as not to disturb rehearsals. It looks a little rough and ready to be a permanent fixture.

I though Ranvir was a bit left out in the 8:10-30 interview this morning. There was only a one presenter shot of Kate

Ranvir did mention at the top of the show that just Kate would be interviewing him. No idea why though.

Pre-recorded probably.

My other thought with that stud wall is it could utilise part of the current set that will be brought over on the weekend of tjr 14th. Or I'd like it to be some sort of virtual feature of the set and they're waiting for equipment or a green screen.

The original Adrian and Christine - followed by Kate and Dan Lobb? - when it came from a studio with real windows.
