Michael Barrymore is much missed from our TV screens, it's a shame his attempted comeback after Celebrity BB didn't come to anything.

He’s about as missed as the plague.

I disagree. He receives plenty of support and calls for his return, especially given the calibre of "talent" around nowadays.

Indeed and there's no point going over old ground.

He was on Jeremy Kyle last year in fact and received huge support from the audience.

Whether you’re a fan or not I have a feeling this would be too late and the sparkle would have gone.

Yes, seen that before. It's the only time he's really had chance to have his say.

Barrymore has only himself to blame.
T V has moved on. Rightly or wrongly.

Well they might as well - four days on the run over Easter. The Chase on ITV though stronger than ever at the moment - think it's had all it's highest rated episodes over the last six months. However as well as airing 7 days a week on ITV and generally at least 2-3 times a day on Challenge, with frequent all day marathons, is surely diluting the brand somewhat you'd think.

Still like to see the Chasers v The Eggheads for a Comic Relief/Children in Need special.

Sometimes i wonder whether they might as well just do Chase TV and have done with it. But there comes a point where everybody just gets sick of it, surely?

Me and some friends had The Chase on before going out on Friday night and again when we woke up on Saturday morning. I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy the show and I'm sure the repeats go down well with people who don't often get chance to see the new ones in the week, chances are if you casually tune into a repeat on Challenge it'll still be an epsiode you've not seen before. It's great social viewing too because you can shout the answers at the telly and the final chase still has that element of suspense every time.

It's the blockbusters of our time πŸ˜› problem is It's one of the highest rated shows on the channel... It's that money that helps pay for other stuff...

It'd be fine if the "other stuff" was worth watching. I'd love to see them use the money to have a good dig in the archives once again instead of just lining Sky's pockets. To think there was once a point when Challenge used to air black and white grainy episodes of The Golden Shot.
