I would predict that the ident would come on as normal, the CA will say 'This is BBC One' then it will cut to the members of the public to announce the show.
For goodness sake, calm down. It said "key shows" in the article. Not every show, all day. And highly unlikely before the news or the Queen. They aren't totally daft.
Anyway, it might be okay. We'll still get idents for all the other festive days. Plus, anything's better than that Shrek red curtain thing they did the other year.

I think D.S suffered from it's own success, the bigger a forum becomes, the more users who are of a different calibre will jump in. DS certainly was not like it is now in the early days!
Im really interested to see this new ident now, will it be a shocker, something completely different, I hope so, as long as it's not going to copy something else.....

Always happens when typing on my phone - autocorrects to the wrong word but I'm quick to put idents in instead.
As for BBC ONE's Christmas ident - at least it wasn't airing on Wednesday - someone at the BBC has some sense about the transmission of Christmas idents. Sprout Boy was aired way too early and by then its novelty wore off.
