I can't help but feel they got the balance wrong today in terms of content. I understand they had live feeds invested in the Queen's birthday but these were tedious and Victoria Wood's death seemed shoe-horned in as a 'by the way'. I would have expected it to lead the programme this morning.

Lorraine got the balance perfectly, leading on Victoria Wood and treating the Queen's birthday as the secondary feature.

I agree, I watched the some of the show today and I was disappointed about this, because it wasn't right, too much Royal refences

Odd question, but did the graphics ever appear on screen like this
*
with the movement of the clock to the right and the removal of the white contact bar or did it go straight to the full length ticker?

As seen on 24 hours at GMB video

No, they didn't. They went straight from the initial graphics with the white alternating '#GMB' / 'itv.com/gmb' graphic to the right of the clock to how the ticker looks now. That's a strange picture for a few reasons. There's never a LIVE graphic just to tell you the show itself is live, only when a reporter is out on location, and the four are shown sitting around the desk at a time when the TOTH sequence would be taking place with the studio not in vision.

It was a waste for just a coming up section. Typical of richard arnold to ruin the illusion. Smile
