They're not even letting Sean sit at the desk for his two minutes' worth of Sport headlines any more; he's been presenting standing up near the weather/performance area since the beginning of this week.

Don't they usually present the sport like that when they have a guest due to sit at the desk? I don't understand why sports news only goes out at 6:30 ish. Even if it's only every hour surely they should have a sports update at 7:30 too. The Australian breakfast programmes have it set up nicely that they sit on the sofa/at the desk and follow on from the headline reader before going back to the main presenters.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sean leaves if his contract is over; I'm sure he wouldn't have signed up to have a 2 minute slot in the whole program. At the start he had a large role, he sat at the desk and could input in conversation and had multiple sport slots to present.
If I were ITV I'd be wanting to keep him with the Olympics coming up.

I think ITV would be stupid if they don't use him in the summer there's at least 3 big sporting events. They should use him as a guest presenter if he's available and there's not much sports news when either Piers or Ben are available, they should have guest present for 2 weeks, either alongside Kate or Ranvir.

I think the Lorraine team/ITV need to ask Hillary's to develop a different sponsor commercial that is of a more sombre tone for days when there is tragic news. When you watch the video below, you can see the "It's a beautiful day" advert was played after Lorraine speaking about the tragic events in Brussels. This is very disrespectful, although I know ITV have to play the adverts Hillary's have paid for; it doesn't reflect well on them.

There's a really dull Asian man covering for Richard this week (hopefully he won't make any further appearances). Enjoyed Jeremy this week and looking forward to Mark next week. I really hope they become part of the regular team. A weekend edition would be lovely!
Amanda Holden is covering Lorraine next week instead of Fiona Phillips.

Personally they need to get the weekday edition right before they begin spending cash on a weekend edition.

Similar can be said for This Morning's upbeat theme which played after GMB during the Brussels coverage. I think sponsors/upbeat themes should be rested during tragic events.

I don't know of the technical aspects, but couldn't the sponsorship sting be muted whilst it played out? It wasn't very fitting having that tribute film, then "It's a beautiful day" playing.
