All the TV mags now are far too soap orientated - having EastEnders and Corrie alternating on the cover. The only soap story worth mentioning this year was Richard Hillman.

I got the TV Times today as it had Pop Idol on the cover - I was disgusted that most of the other tv mags put Eastenders on not Pop Idol - surely the launch of Pop Idol 2 would sell more mags than some rubbish on the BBC

I thnk the TV mags like TV Choice/Whats on TV should feature a wider variety of progs on the cover. I dont think a week ever goes by when a soap isnt on the cover of those two. At least TV Times try and put other progs on. And soap mags like Inside Soap and All About Soap cover just soaps so they should have the soap covers not TV mags so much.

Well they do have other programmes on the front but just not as the main picture.
Bizzarely the trailer for Pop Idol Night excludes the Pop Idol: One year on programme for some reason and starts the schedule from 7.15!
And they are still showing those funny Pop Idol trailers featuring blowing up a tortoise!
So Nestle are the sponsors this time, who was it who sponsored Pop Idol last year?

Correct, it was those singing chicks. I read that the Army wanted to sponsor this series, obviously that didn't come off then. Also, it is kind of bizarre that the trails for Pop Idol Night don't feature the 6.15pm show, which was supposed to take viewers away from Fame Academy.
I presume ITV have seen the viewing figures for Fame Academy and realise they needn't have worried.

I remembered they were catchy little singing things but I couldn't remember what it was advertising. Let's hope Nestle come up with something good as there's nothing worse than annoying sponorship bumpers on sponsored programmes
And as you say Ant and Dec will easilly beat Cat and Patrick, On Fame Academy Cat acts like she's presenting CD:UK and I still don't know why someone like Patrick Kielty agreed to present it, its the sort of show he'd usually take the mick out of on his chat show!

Good. Why on earth did it used to auto-forward to itv.com's homepage instead of to a 404 error page or This Site Has Closed message?
Just looked at the site - have you seen the sponsor caption? Here it is:

LOL! Choc Idol - nice one Nestle! It is, BTW, a vote where you choose your favourite Nestle sweets - haven't checked if any are Rowntree's though.

What a load of hype! I don't know why the site links to loads of foreign Idols shows as well - some of them aren't English - or why the foreign versions aren't called Pop Idol - after all, UK Pop Idol 1 was the first series of it anywhere in the world!
