The Bristol studio has been "HD ready" for quite a while now AIUI, but ITV HD still TX-es Central West all the way down to Penzance & the Isle of Scilly.
Given that a few northern ITV regions finally appeared on ITV HD not that long ago, it's disappointing that there's still no word as to during which particular decade/century/lifetime West Country HD (well, at least one sub-region thereof) will ever sodding well be TX-ed. The pathetically slow roll-out of regional/sub-regional variants on the HD channel is infuriating.
ITV West Country, both opts will be in HD on Sky and Freesat next month. Freeview will continue to receive Central West.

Erm, and how many of those "HD ready" news broadcasts are actually received by viewers in HD?
Keep up!
I'll give you a clue -- several larger regions than some poxy little minor with 1.7 million potential viewers are not in HD.
