ATP 2019 onwards, conversation I had today seems to think AZP will be able, and willing at least in the first year, to sublicence content. We might see some content on other broadcasters as a result.

which may follow on from a conversation I had with someone who couldn't see how they were planning to monetise it.

They may have trouble monetizing it anyway. Men's singles Tennis might be considered to be the top form of Tennis, with Women's singles just behind, but frankly it is not regarded, at least in the UK, as a top tier sport, it's very much second tier at best, possibly third tier, and outside of the majors might be difficult to sell.

Also, the rights are for Masters 1000, and Masters 500 tournaments, which does not cover the entire ATP tour. The 1000 series is 9 events, the 500 series is 13 events. The rest come under the Masters 250 series, which is not in this package. So it's not as though you'll have weekly events on Amazon Prime. You'll be missing some weeks anyway due to the majors, the World Tour Finals and the 250s.

EBU renew IAAF rights for the 2018-2023 cycle covers three Indoor and three outdoor World Championships

Edit - Link added

Seems the best way to guarantee a sports federation sells the rights to the EBU, and hence in the UKs case on the BBC, is to get Ortis Deley to present the event once and then they'll never risk it happening again.

Come on Eurosport - make him part of your Olympics team.

Great. The biggest athletics competition in London, since the Olympics, starts tomorrow - so you would have thought it's the ideal time, with a major world event on your doorstep to launch your new graphics set...
..but there's something bigger on the 19th, apparently Rolling Eyes

Yes I see your point however the BBC will be using a world feed set of graphics for the Athletics coverage, the new set would only be used for the BBC studio presentation therefore it makes sense to launch it on MOTD

A first, can't recall a live, unrepeated transmission on 4seven before. Can anyone?

On the plus side, that means it stays in HD for many Freeview viewers. I'm rather surprised 4seven HD hasn't been made available on Freesat or Sky.

Here's Channel 4 ratings for England matches in UEFA Euro 2017

England v Scotland – 1.4 million (2.2 million peak)
England v Spain – 1.5 million (2.1 million peak)
England v Portugal – 1.3 million (2 million peak)
England v France – 2 million (3.3 million peak)
England v Netherlands – 2.6 million (4 million peak)

The bottom 2 peak figures are the most watched woman’s football matches in the UK of all time

The peak figure for England v Netherlands is according to broadcast Channel 4 highest audience of the year and of course their last involvement in Women's Football for the foreseeable future as the next World Cup is on the BBC
