This would seem like a good opportunity to move MOTD Sunday repeat to BBC Two. It's varying length, which is understandable does make BBC Breakfast a little silly on BBC One some weeks. I don't know what BBC Two show at that time of day now.

Not really, clearly BBC1 want it before The Andrew Marr Show rather than competing with it., and Breakfast on Sunday is only a sustaining service anyway which they're happy to shorten or lengthen depending on what else is on.

I can't imagine there's much audience overlap between Marr's show and MOTD ?

Surely the Sunday repeat of MOTD is there for the benefit of folk that have been out
on Saturday night getting p1ssed, and children ? A showing later on Sunday morning would benefit the former group !

Maybe not, but surely it's of more value to have the MOTD repeat leading into Marr, thus perhaps interesting people who wouldn't generally tune in, than it is to have it opposite it and diminishing its audience. In addition it has to be shown by 10.30am because after that Sky get the rights back for Goals on Sunday (and they revert back to the Beeb that evening), hence why they can't show the goals on MOTD Extra. And why, when ITV had the rights, when there was a Grand Prix or something at 9.25, they had to show the repeat at about 5am.

Sky2 and Challenge to broadcast 2 darts tournaments. Sky2 will show the Singapore Darts Masters on August 15-16, and Challenge will show the Sydney Darts Masters from August 28-30.

Challenge has shown live darts before. Back in 2007 they broadcast the US Open darts, a short clip can be seen here:

I think I'm right in saying BBC Scotland's Sportscene Results is sporting a nice new look today, looking more like Final Score.

Most of the graphics looking great in HD, with the exception of the club logos on the report screens which look very low-res. And I don't think the cameras are HD.

Interesting addition of match stats though. Very nice.

I've never seen any caps of this programme. And don't tend to be in when it's on. If anyone has any feel free to share.

Also interested in this Ant. I'm being lazy here as I'm sure I could find this out myself, but what kind of a format does Sportscene Results have these days? For a while there it was as much a discussion programme as a results service.

And is it now in the new Reporting Scotland studio?

The Sportscene brand name has been around for a long time now. In days gone by you had Sportscene Match of the Day, Sportscene Rugby Special, Friday Sportscene, Afternoon Sportscene. All sorts. Seems to be just football now. I'm surprised network haven't 'imposed' the Match of the Day/Final Score branding.

I'm a bit surprised but not that surprised The Football League Show has had the graphics upgrade which I'm sure will be present on MOTD next week.

I'm surprised too. No change for Final Score either.

It looks like the new graphics package is going to be rolled out verrry slowly...

I'm disappointed but not surprised that IMG haven't updated the studio from last season either. Still rather bland compared to the original incarnation . . .

A quick peek at the new Sky Sports News graphics in the Sky Sports for iPad promo.

Much flatter design than current.

That can't be real.
