Once again the BBC leave it to the last minute to update the EPG and completely mess it up.
My Sky+ box is currently recording The One Show on BBC One and also waiting to record The One Show on BBC Two. If I had been out, I would have returned to a recording called The One Show but when watched would just be 30 minutes of tennis.
I think swapping programmes between BBC One and BBC Two is a ridiculous idea but I can accept that the BBC do this for various reasons. I just wonder why it always seems to catch them out so badly. Once a programme has started recording (about 2/3 minutes before its scheduled start time) then its too late to update the EPG.

and the red strap on BBC One has just shown the same.
There's no way they will leave this on BBC One now, especially with Murray back level.
So what will BBC Two show at 9pm? Crimewatch would seem more important than the 'Supersizers Eat', considering CW is live and has a pretty large set-up with phone lines etc.
Sky EPG showing Eastenders on BBC2 now.

Why? It's not that they've got a shortage of space to broadcast the match, it's just they want to show it to the biggest audience possible.
when this happens, the BBC should just open up their encrypted feeds on 7e

The BBC HD channel at 20:00hrs cut mid action to a trailer, in a shambolic mess until someone woke up and over rode the automation system, and returned the pictures to Wimbledon.

There is no need whatsoever for any event, no matter how major, to be on BBC1 only. BBC2 is equally obtainable as BBC1. I hate that BBC1 flagship channel b******s - even more so when that ethos is used at the expense of local news. I realise this is an old debate, but I cannot believe that as DSO becomes ever closer the BBC still think that this is acceptable.
Except that shows on BBC One DO still get higher audiences in general. Moving the Murray match from BBC Two to BBC One would undoubtedly increase its audience - and that is why they do it... People are more likely to watch if it is on BBC One, as it is a more habitually viewed channel.
But would the total combined audience for BBC 1 and BBC 2 be lower, higher, or the same, if tennis stayed on BBC 2 ?
Surely that's the most important consideration ?

No expenses spared there then!
Wonder how much that cost the licence fee payer?
