There's something about that Oscar that seems slightly evil compared to the current version.

And you can get Puffin's Pla(i)ce via Sky Digital and add channels, I live in the middle of England, and still watch it daily, ah the power of television.

Don't you mean the power of "the astra satellites".

Ah, that reminds me to ask a question that's been puzzling me for quite a while... how can I put it politely though...

When did Oscar change his physical shape?

Dunno. Maybe in this politically correct society, they wanted to show that even famous people can be more than avaragely sized Rolling Eyes

Kevin was ranting today about how normally they do an Oscar Puffin Christmas Special, but this year they arn't doing one!

He didn't mention last night's Record of the Year and how he used to do it, but Sunday's Puffin might be recorded anyway you can't quite tell

If you go to Channel TVs website they're doin a survey about their station. I did it and gave em some good comments. But I also mentioned that they waste the regional slot on tuesday and that they could do a lot more with it instead of just playing Meridians output. Lets hope they take note Smile

Indeed about the Christmas Special, it's apparently due to lack of time, I presume this is a long regional news slot.

They have a regional on ITV1 Christmas Eve at 11:05 am, though I believe that they are showing the same as Meridian when they could have easily opted out of that to show a Puffin's Pla(i)ce Christmas Special plus it would follow CiTV.

Though instead they have gone for the option of showing the 5 days of Christmas, where they will have Christmas Fun and VT's of their Christmas Light turn on's over the 5 days from an old Studio apparently. Not sure if this means an old Christmas Set or an old normal set.

Plus for those who don't know, Kevin said that they will get a new set in the new year, rather than before Christmas. Perhaps this is also why they're moving to another set rather than have the current studio with Christmas Decs.

As i said above when I filled in the survey I noted that Channel are I think (correct me if i'm wrong) the only ITV regional company that don't fill the tuesday regional slot with their own programming. Instead we get the boring and completely pointless Meridian output "Monkey Business" I mentioned in the survey that wouldn't it be good to have a sort of Question Time type current affairs program to run in the regional slot? It would cost next to nothing to make, they could use the Channel Report set if necessary. Just get talking heads in that represent the subject being talked about, for example the Sales Tax they want to bring in and have arguments on both sides with questions posted in from islanders. I think it would work, especially as Channel Islanders tend to care a lot about the Islands wellbeing. It would certainly give them the edge over Spotlight coverage, as they seem to be obsessed with doing better than them. You only have to look at the survey to see that! It mentions Spotlight on almost every question!
