Possible upsets could include:

The TV presenter category, otherwise known as The Ant & Dec Award could go to someone else considering the events of 2018. Not only that, Holly and Phil being in the same category could split the vote.

Good Morning Britain are in with a chance for Daytime as Piers Morgan has pledged to go vegan for one week if they win, which has whipped up interest on Twitter. Also I feel This Morning didn't have the strongest year popularity wise - there was a considerable backlash when Holly & Phil failed to cover Ant's car crash.

Benidorm might win the Comedy category, which is bound to cause some embarrassment to ITV after they cancelled it in 2018.

Also it's highly possible that Love Island will win The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, causing him to reverse turn in his grave faster than any dance he managed to perform while alive.

I think Bradley Walsh should win best presenter just to break the Ant and Dec streak, daytime should go to The Chase or Loose Women just so we don't have to do the whole hungover Holly and Phil for the nth year in a row.

Always felt it was wrong Ant and Dec were nominated as one anyway but found it especially annoying this year for obvious reasons. It would have been nice to see Dec nominated individually for the BGT Live shows. He deserves the award for that, but as things stand would like Holly to win.

Would you really have had a situation where one of them won, and the other didn’t, and in theory the same one may have won every year.

If it was the children’s awards would you have voted for Sam separately from Mark, or Dick separately from Dom?

I think Phil should get a NTA for his long career in TV but that probably won't be until either next year. If David Tennant can get one then so can he!

I suspect the reason they didn't nominate Dec on his own is because they don't want to break the streak.

I can understand Brekkie's point.


It would be a bit like Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby (who present more than one show together) being nominated together.
