Look North and Calendar

Hey all, how ya doin'? Cancel the memorial service, tell Asa, Steve and co to stop the calls to the Samaritans and end their sobbing, Katherine has been out of the region visiting her grandparents in Hampshire and is NOT DEAD! I've been sampling the delights of BBC South Today with Roger Finn, Sally Taylor and the weather lady Dorcas Henry. Grandparents don't have the net, so what was a lass to do? I timer-recorded every Look North episode and have been catching up on what I missed while I was gone.

Yuck, yuck and YEUCCCHHHHHHH! That's got to be the most disgusting vision I have EVER seen! Christa Belladonna Deadly Nightshade Ackroyd, you cruel woman! What do you look like in that photo? That stare, that hair, are you the poor man's Anne Robinson? Look at her mouth, it looks like she's sucking a boiled sweet! Don't try the trick of being photographed behind a set of books to make yourself seem more intelligent, I ain't convinced sister!

What kind of wonderment-laced facial expression is plastered all over Harry's face in that photo? You've gone into a trance again or drunk some odd-tasting tea Harry, haven't you? Has Christa got her powers back? I'm beginning to think Harry's got a crush on Mrs. Belladonna! I dunno, you leave the region for less than a week and Belladonna's rejuvenated! But not for long, because this little kitty's back to kick some serious ass!

Judging from her facial expression, I'm beginning to wonder if Belladonna's actually got hypnotic powers! Whoever thought that THAT picture was the best one in the shop? She looks like a bloody waxwork!

Oh yuck. Seriously. Please someone, pass the sick bucket, I need to be sick! Look at the configuration of Belladonna's mouth, it looks like she's puckering up sideways to try and kiss Harry!

Have you had the delight to see a 10-foot tall Christa yet? Or have them there billboards not got as far as Lincolnshire.
Also, watch out for those bus backs!

News...
They even showed a trailer after tonight's Look North Saturday, Christa trailer 1 was shown within the 5 minute opt-out!

Interesting Story...
Looking on Bradford Telegraph & Argus (newspaper) Online, I came across a story featuring Mrs Ackroyd.
She had bought by credit card a bed from a discount store in Bradford City Centre, but the day after, the store when into receivership, and she lost her deposit!
Times must have been hard this summer whilst she has been unemployed for 3 months!

Well the final countdown is on - just hours now until Christa joins you on screen for a full half hour... so will Hud the Stud resist her charms, will we all be hypnotises like Harry and the BBC bosses and end up loving her... only time will tell.

2 Bits of News today...

Starting with 'Calendar Pick of the Week'. I expected this to be presented by one of the main presenters, sitting on the desk in the main studio.
Nope, it was presented by Anne-Marie Tasker from the broomcupboard studio, There were special opening titles though.

After one trailer and an ident, Anne-Marie was back again to read today's Calendar News.

Before 'Calendar Pick of the Week' and 'Calendar News', YTV Presentation used a 'long regional' ident both times, I haven't seen one of these for many months!

Look North....

Today's 'Super League Show' came from the Look North set presented by Harry Gration. The set was very different, only the desk-top and the 4 part window gave the game away.
The walls and desk were coloured differently and the window was used as a monitor.

This must mean that the 'tri-circular desk' set has been removed, and there will be a sofa area for Harry, Christa and Paul to comfyly sit on from Tommorow?

I bet no-one got any screenshots did they?!

Never mind, It'll be the same next week!

I saw a 'YTV' Van yesterday, they seem to have removed the 'Calendar' (previous look) and 'Tonight' logos from it.

Doing a Katherine trick, and bringing this topic back to the top in time for Christa's appearance on the new style Look North (see Ceefax page 168 and 171)

I think the opt-out from Hull's starting today too. Ceefax have a story about the new-style Look North on page 168 in this region. Also says that 'she' is going to present some local radio in the region.
