Theres been quite a few changes to Calendar over the last few weeks as follows:

- Calendar is now always advertised as being on at 6pm, rather than 5.55, It still comes on at 1 minute to 6 in any case

- Calendar Lunchtime Live now begins straight after the ITV Lunchtime News, there is no adverts and not even an ident, it goes straight from YTV Weather to Calendar

- The Calendar News Round Up introduction now regularly refers to the fact that there is more than one newsdesk, and we are getting news from 'our part of the Calendar region'

- Calendar no longer has any adverts in the middle, therefore the 'Welcome Back' titles and sequence is no longer used

- Calendar Presenters have also standardised recently, with each slot having a regular presenter

Yes, and this afternoon, we had a brief glimpse of Calendar South in the Calendar East region. The 3:15pm bulletin started off as Calendar South with Katie Lampert (Jackson or whatever she is now) then during the first story flicked to Calendar East with Anne Marie Tasker.

I'm sounding like an anorak now, goodbye.

There wasn't any problem with Calendar (Emley Moor) News with Mike Morris

Its Katie Stuart by the way, but with her being based at the Newsroom in Sheffield, she's vary rare on any of the Leeds based output

Not to be confused with Natalie Jackson, the nice lincs reporter!

It turns out that tonight's 'Calendar' will be Mike Morris's last programme

Think it's more down to him being too expensive for Yorkshire!
Wonder who will take over from him? Wink

Well 'our man' Jonathan Morrell was part of the assembled presenters at the end of the programme. We didn't get a very good look at them, but I could make out Nichola Crompton and Jason McCartney

There wern't any clues on who the new presenter will be

I expect with in being Good Friday, and therefore no Calendar, that the 'Friday team' will present on Thursday this week.

And then Tuesday-Friday next week might be unusual presenters, So maybe the new presenter won't appear for a couple of weeks yet?

Tonight it is the last ever edition of Close Up North (BBC2 7.30)

Presenters who were present at Mike Morris's leaving Calendar included Nichola Crompton, Jonathan Morrell, Jason McCartney, Frazer Maude and Karen Petch, I couldn't work out who anyone else was, presumably some were behind-the-scenes staff
Which one of them did Calendar East on Wednesday?

-----
Does anyone here have a Yorkshire/Tyne Tees version of Radio Times?
If yes, could you please tell me the schedule for BBC Radio Leeds (6am-7pm) on Good Friday and Easter Monday?

Thanks

Do we think that Calendar are going to make do with John Shires rather than appoint a new face ??

It would be nice to see a big signing come in from somewhere, a bit like Mike Morris did all those years ago. Johnathan Morrell seems to becoming higher profile, he did the Calendar trail at 5:30pm tonight.
