Look North and Calendar

Today, as reported, Jonathan Morrell was live at the scene of a news incident for Calendar.

Calendar was presented by Gaynor Barnes and John Shires, with Clare White doing the News Round Up.

So, where was Frazer Maude? - He was on Wellbeing!!!!!

Over on Look North, It was Clare Frisby and Harry Gration's last ever show together tonight, as Harry is taking a few week off. Harry will be replaced by.........have a guess..............Peter Levy of course!

Tonight, Mike Morris was back from his holidays.

Christine Talbot is still away, but was on YTV tonight presenting 'Magic Moments'

Meanwhile, Certain YTV announcers seem to have got the ITV1 bug, as before todays Calendar she said...
'This is Yorkshire Television on ITV1, now the evening news....from Calendar'
ITV wouldn't usually get a mention on junctions where the local ident is used.

I imagine they've been told to hammer home the message that ITV has changed it's name!

Great! I'm back in! Yee Haa! Forum, it's been too damn long!

And sooooooo great to see Peter Levy on the evening show, that means double the Peter / Paul banter every day from now till September! But alas, It also means the start of the slippery slope towards You Know What and You Know Who on September 3rd! My spine quivers at the thought!

I don't know who It'll be tommorow!

Did anyone see the very professional way Peter Levy didn't know which camera he was supposed to look into at the start of today's show?

This is beginning to get spooky guys. Peter loses professionalism, TV Home crashes just after I put the Christa Ackroyd Slide Show on, I am sure that Christa's jinxing everything!

But tonight, I'm not complaining. I got a double dose of Paul Hudson with his York floods report AND the weather, so I'm quids in today!

Tonight it was the last Look North presented by Clare Frisby.

Peter Levy will still be there next week on the main programme, which gets very silly after 6.50pm when he's on.
I expect Small Paul will be able to insult Penny Bustin next week!

Also, Ian White is doing Look North Saturday again tommorow, Where have John Boyd and Dean Peppall gone?

Alas yes folks, it was Clare's last show. But not for me, as I'll still be able to see her from Hull as I'm in the Belmont area. I am well impressed at the way Clare handled the broadcast tonight, she must have been really upset about it. I take my hat off to her.

If Penny Bustin's back with Peter next week, it's going to be good. They work well together don't they? Will this be the presenter line-up until the Doomday that is September 3rd? Actually, I am beginning to warm slightly to Christa being on Look North. I could see from the Scarborough show that she and Harry could be a good partnership on screen. Just so long as she doesn't get to within fondling distance of Hud the Stud, I'll be happy to see how she gets on, so good luck to her. However, if she strays too close to him, my claws will come out!

As she's already seen some of my handiwork with the Slide Show, I am sure that I'm already on her 'nutters' list!

I think Clare is presenting next week from Hull to the whole region though with the ships coming in.....
