The idents will be changed weekly, so it makes sense to pair them with something cleaner and simpler

My controversial opinion: It’s OK.

Bingo so if people hate this weeks, try next weeks.

Anyone else think the idents have a hint of 90s/00s Odeon about them?

Video of the refreshed fullscreen menu style for ITV, as used just before the evening news.

I think the cardboard cut-out presentation style looks rubbish. The idents look good though.

I agree, I think it looks a bit out of place compared with the idents and destroys the consistency.

As people keep saying the idents rarely match the rest of the presentation

Look at almost every look BBC One has had, rhythm and movement idents, various red trailer designs

The weird idents Channel 4 Have had in recent years which don’t match the trailer designs

Also various previous ITV designs where the trailer design would change annually but the idents were completely different.

Do you think that when the Week 2 idents appear will they been shown along with the Week 1 idents or will the Week 1 idents be removed only to show the Week 2 idents and so on?

1 week for each artist.

Yeah I know, but will the Ravi Deepres idents be shown along with the Week 2 artist idents as well? It's kind of stupid showing the idents by the same artist one week and then removing them to show the next set idents by a new artist next week.

1 week, per artist. It defeats the point of the campaign if they began to mix them up at the early stage. It's like their platform.
Colorband and bilky asko gave kudos

Well, looks like DBLG has already put up their case study for their work on the ITV rebrand.
Turns out the main colours of this rebrand are the corporate teal of ITV and black whilst the secondary colours consist of gold, orange, red, burgundy, hot pink, purple, navy blue, light blue and green.
Plus they can make card-style graphics for promoting the rest of the ITV family on the main channel with the channels' respective colour schemes added.

Interesting that they created the look for the other ITV channels but without the logo cut out. Not sure if I'd like the same look on all the channels or not.

No, I'd rather they all make themselves stand out really.
