I was watching this morning and don't recall seeing this technical problem.

On a different note, Charlotte and Ben work well together, as shown this morning.

I agree, back in 2014 when it was Charlotte who would cover for Susanna I was a fan of this pairing. Personally I would prefer to see Charlotte as anchor on a Friday as opposed to Kate, with Kate returning to newsreader - I role I feel she excelled at last year.

I take it UTV are now allowed to show their watermark during GMB?

Its from the UTV Player, too far to the edge to be from TV.

Slight change, since the TOTH sequences aren't really being done in time to the closing of the music, the little drumroll from the 2014 opening has been added to the start of the 2015 opening so the music is in time with the different animations (this can be seen on the video posted on the last page and i'll post it below again)

I think the reason that it hasn't been matching is because of the Paris Attacks this week; because there's been so much news with regards to the events and other news and features to squeeze into the TOTH sequence that none of the usual beds are long enough; either this or I think they're gearing up for new music and a few slight changes next week.

Well I think its better than just crashing into the opening and it nicely compliments it and as i said it rebalances it making the music and animations match up.

The live inserts from Paris also contribute to this probably. There is likely to be a slight delay on the live link so better to manually start the opening titles rather than have them start too early and cutting off the headlines.

The opening tracks go up to 120 seconds, that's from the 'ITV' opener to the final 3 notes as the presenters say "Good morning...", so the length of the track should never be an issue.

One issue that might come up is if a 'live' insert fails another is if the presenters finish their line before the VT is done, so they have to move on to the next story.

Instead of the 'drum roll' as the build, I'd rather have the 'twinkle' that the current opens have, would fit better.

You're right - the original versions were in 40" and 60", then the current are in 20", 40", 60" and 120". There's also versions of the new theme with a less punchy, more newsy sounding bed though they haven't been used yet. They sound a bit 'dry' though, so it's understandable.

I believe the titles are also often crashed into as a seperate track early sometimes.

Originals are actually 64" (normal opener) and 85" (extended). Current one is 20" all the way up to 120", and every 10 seconds between. The news version is the current theme, without the piano motifs throughout.

Yep, the titles are available as a separate track, usually used to crash into the titles with the weather overruns etc.

When referring to 60' and 40" in the original tracks, I was omitting the titles from the track length.

You're right about the 2015 tracks, although as of this morning the news theme has never been used, as the piano motifs are sitll present. The magazine theme is incumbent.

Another photo of the line up. This one of solely Susanna and Ben. If people on here saying a new look on the cards, presenter shots could be used to follow the likes of This Morning and Lorraine.

ITV Westcountry used the new name strap this morning, and the weather was Good Morning Britain branded.
