But, I am a fan of the logo being displayed with the number underneath though. Before, people thought the logos looked out of place because they were all different and ITV3 had no yellow, but they all look part of a family now, and not one of them looks out of place. Apart from perhaps ITV News.

Well that's because ITV News is a programme. The logos you see on the news channel are technically opening titles for a news programme, ITV News doesn't really have idents.

But surely ITV News Channel should technically have its own logo in the corporate style, just like BBC News 24 has its box logo.

Looking at the three new logo designs for ITV1, 2, 3, you can guess that probably the ITV4 logo will be all yellow which would finish off the colours as a four part set:

ITV1 Blue & Yellow Number
ITV2 Yellow & Blue Number
ITV3 All Blue
ITV4 All Yellow ?

Well, we might not need one, but it looks like we might be going to get one. See here.

ITV3 won't be churning out anything that isn't already available on ITV1 or ITV2, it seems to be just a "me too" reaction to BBC3 and BBC4. We already have endless re-runs of Frost, Morse etc. on ITV, so this is throwing the baby out with the bath water.

The real cream of ITV is in the archives, the sort of material today's commercially-driven management would rather forget existed. Since ITV2 can't sustain (and doesn't need) a 24-hour service, how will this channel? We're not gaining anything with ITV3.

At least you guys are getting rid of your idents, over here at UTV we still have to be totured with idents of water or roads Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

UTV will NOT change anything to their presintation on Nov 1st.

What where UTV2's idents liek, I have seen the logo but no ident

And why is that torture? Sounds like tranquility to me.

I think come Monday night, a few people are going to wish they could get UTV...
