Tonight's episode has the filmic treatment.

I'm never usually a fan of it, but I think it really suits the show.

I wonder if they're testing it to roll it out in the future or just a one off for this episode.

Understand Max/Jake Wood is leaving EE.

And Lacey Turner is taking an extended break to have another child. I wonder if they might link both exits.

Totally unrelated to EE, but Wendy Hurrell's garden has a great backdrop for a news bulletin!

Is it possible she was on the roof terrace of BH?

No the view was from a South London viewpoint facing the city. She's used her garden a few times for various VTs.

They clearly got their money's worth out of the slo-mo cameras at the end of tonight's episode.

Why was EastEnders "earlier than billed" tonight?

Why was EastEnders "earlier than billed" tonight?

Because it was longer than planned, and nearer 25 minutes than 20.

They have this while will he/won't he about Ian dying at the moment, but the BBC1 Christmas Drama trailer has a clip of Ian smashing up all the Christmas decorations at the Vic, so the answer to that one has already been spoiled...

Doesn’t someone trash the Christmas decorations on EastEnders every year?

Or is it alternate years, with someone trashing the Christmas dinner in the other years?
