The appearance of the lower blinds is covering scaffolding work being carried out to build a Daybreak roof terrace for the summer.

New sofa on Monday as the current one has been given to Ant and Dec, new shape and new but familiar colour.

Anything else new - graphics wise.

Can you confirm if there will be a completely different look sofa next week after Ant 'n' Dec auction off the current sofa? Or will they just have a replica?

Thanks.

Colour change.

Are they dumping the whole purple colour scheme then ? From logo's / graphics etc ?

Now that would be a nice idea. Never thought purple would work and I still don't think it does.

So presumably the lower blind is only a temporary measure? That's a shame, I do think it looks a lot better than bare windows, they just need edging down a little bit, perhaps to Christine's shoulder level.

With a new shape, do you know if the new sofa will be the same setup as the current ones, ie on opposing sides, or whether it will be more BBC Breakfast/GMTV style with the presenters sat in the middle and in front of the window?

Purple is too cold for a breakfast show, orange would probably work a lot better in place of the purple. Purple suits the news and news graphics though.

I hear it's going to be red with the logo engraved in the wood behind the guests.

I heard that the sofa would not be replaced, with presenters and guests sitting cross-legged on the floor.

I'm glad that the lower blind is only temporary, it seems to block out the view and it looks messy somehow. The roof terrace sounds amazing! Such a good idea, that view will be lovely after 7.

As for the sofa, I hope its not orange. If it is, there'll be too much of the same orange/brown tone, with the wood, the orange blind and yellow lights - it'll be too overpowering! I hope if anything, the sofa is cream.

The new sofa, I think, won't b orange, cream or yellow. But familiar colour? Red? A La GMTV.

Failing that, the light purple used on holding slides, competition slides and fallback animations.

It will be made of glass.

From the right angles you'll be able to see the clenching anuses of the presenters as they wonder how long the gig will last.

Shocked That's quite a sight. Never really thought about Adrian Chiles like that Gav, until now.

I'm just curious to note how flexible they plan to make that studio. You can't do much with windows.
