The Sun have published an image of Tasmin Lucia Khan from 2003/2006 were she is seen topless. Could this ruin the reputation of Daybreak before its even began? I hope ITV are seriously reconsidering her position at the show if she was/is the current front runner for newsreader.

I am hoping Helen does remain newsreader and think she will as itv bosses where very keen on her and if they had not have snapped up christine would probably be the front runner to be presenter .

ive never heard of this tamsin who is she and has she been at bbc/itv/five/sky before ?

I just hope they do away with some of the stupid features which they do now and make it more news with some entertainment and features.

Daybreak has a real chance now that bbc breakfast is moving to salford and many of the stars are expected to quit I just hope it lives up to what itv say its going to be .

I take it you're not reading other people's posts. On the page before this one there are two links about Tamsin, explaining that she currently does 60 seconds on BBC Three, complete with pictures and video.

Read more, post less.

What a bad move. Tasmin Lucia Khan annoys me even on 60 seconds and the filth the BBC markets as "E24". Helen would have been a much better decision - I can only hope Helen turned it down or has been offered something else, than producers just picking someone else.

I predicted Lucy V would end up somewhere else at some point - fairly good choice for Daybreak I suppose. Presumably she will share the job with Kirsty and cover for Kirsty when she goes on maternity leave?

Has Kirsty's job been confirmed? It would not surprise me if the merge the operation with the rest of the itv weather operation, meaning Lucy would be the main forecaster with someone else covering from the team when she is on holiday. I know this is pure speculation, but it would not surprise me.

On the subject of Helen, with her appearance on the sofa on GMTV the other morning, I thought that they may be trying her out for something else, could she be Christine and Kate's cover?

Kirsty tweeted some time ago that she'd found out who might be her maternity leave cover, and she shouldn't be due to go on maternity leave until after DB launches, so I'd assume she's staying (as we haven't heard she's leaving).

On the matter of Helen, personally I'd imagine she was on purely because Kate and Emma were off and the usual covers - Penny, for example - has since left and so it would be the news presenter who would cover.

I'd also have hoped Emma Crosby would be kept on as a business/ economics correspondent or editor, given her previous experience. Personally I don't think Emma is best suited to presenting GMTV, but Daybreak is (supposedly) going to be more news-oriented and someone like Emma could add a level of credibility someone like Christine cannot.

Gavin understood what you asked and he pointed you to where you could find it.

Also (ignoring the grammar Wink) you have a point - is DB keeping the GMTV cooking? If they're aiming to be more newsy, surely that has to go?

I think that as well Is Loraine going to be part of daybreak ? if so they will most likley stay as it's a big part of her show I don't understand why they kept her. I would have like to see Emma given a role as well but then again they did have to get rid of most of the presenters to make it feel new.
