In the same place I believe, just perhaps slightly further back.

It's not in the same place, compare it to where it is on the ITV3 repeats with Derek and Mavis living there to where it is now. It's the opposite side of the room. That would have needed some major remodeling, but it moved virtually overnight, when Ashley & Clare were still living there.

I’m referring to no. 3’s being in the same place, not no. 4’s.

No. 4’s staircase definitely did move, to the other side of the room in fact, in 2007.

But you replied to my post which directly mentioned number 4's!

Because you asked whether no. 3’s had moved in the same manner no. 4’s did.

Look back at what you wrote and you’ll see. You were asking me a question.

Wouldn't it be a better 'surprise' for the audience if it was broadcast without being spoiled 2 months before the episode aired?

Unfortunately under the current producer Corrie seem incapable of keeping anything under wraps.

We were told about the roof collapse, Carla's special episode, Gemma having quadruplets and this modern slavery storyline months and months before they even started on screen. And already the following stories have been leaked:

-Josh's return.
-Paul's upcoming storyline about being sexually abused.
-Vicky's pregnancy being revealed on Michelle's wedding day
-The details of Gemma's birth
-The youngest son of the new family, the Baileys, will come out as gay and have a homophobia in football storyline

So what's one more leak? And I can understand why they spoiled this one- it's something people might tune in for.

I haven't seen anything leaked about Vicky's pregnancy being revealed on Michelle's wedding day, has everyone worked that one out by deduction or have i missed an article on that-I am in agreement about the others being leaked through!

I stopped watching last year due to the extra episode and violent storylines. I may tune in for this; which could be why they revealed in advance.

They could however have said something special may happen during that episode without giving the game away.

It's the Sun so no guarantees it's accurate but it seems plausible enough.

.

Very much the opposite for me - it was a bit darker last year but the first half of last year was the most I've enjoyed Corrie in years. Twists, turns and some brilliant introductions.
Whereas some of the content this year has been embarassing and the block storytelling destroys any momentum with any interesting storylines and I now only tune in now and then.
