whilst all this was going on, there was of course Dev taking over half of Streetcars.
I'm surprised he isn't having it renamed "Alahan's Cars"!!
Gail did one of her good strict tellingsoff as well, with Ade "I think you better leave", its a pitty Todd couldn't have followed him outside and gone completely against his character!

Now Maxine is dead I hope Corrie do actually try and tackle the issue of grief and not send Ashley away on holiday for a few months (like Sharron in EastEnders, and most other bereft characters in soaps, for example).
I wonder what the other Corrie ending was? Killing Maxine was just a way of writing out Tracy Shaw and was based more on consequences than pre-mediated murder, and was spoiled by the press. However, it does open a door for a major storyline with Ashley and Joshua - will he want to bring up a child that is not his now that it's mother is no longer in his life?

This might sound stupid, but....
I don't understand. I haven't been reading the newspapers, and so haven't known what has been coming up. I've started watching more regularly because of this Richard storyline though.
So I understand that he kills people to get their money somehow. I also understand that the likes of Norris and Audrey have accused him of doing such things. So why the hell did he try and kill Emily? Has the man no sense? Would it not be quite obvious who has tried to kill her? Especially since his Ex-wife has gone missing, business partners have died suspiciously... Mother in Law is shouting to all and sundry that he is trying to kill her for her money!
Surely if the plot made any sense he would have moved on to less familiar people away from Coronation street... Or have I missed something??

Heres the clip they showed on "this morning" with some of tricky dicky's history...
High quality only I'm afraid.
WM9 is a good codec (at least for high bandwidth)

OH
As unofficial figures show - they could be more or less!
Even so this estimated figure is a huge feat for ANY tv programme to gain these days.
Well done to Corrie as it is the only soap left worth watching, bye bye Eastenders, Brookside and Shortland Street!
