I think that appears on online streams occasionally. Separate adverts go out over the online streams (I think perhaps just for the big live events), they get added at some point downstream of Playout. I'd guess that slate goes up when the online break is a shorter duration.
Commercial premises get their seperate ads during major events as well (complete with "coming soon to this venue"-type promos) but those do come from Playout as a seperate opt channel. Quite a clever set-up, there's just the one stream for the pub & club opts which floats between the 3 channels depending on which one the big event is on and is re-mapped on the EPG.

Could this be because they are pushing interactive "click here for more info" ads online?

BT Sport finally got a nice little graphic to indicate a rain delay on their tennis coverage (slightly obscured by the streaming indicator here):
On Sky Sports they tend to use "Yesterday" or "Earlier" or some indication of when the match was (round or tournament and year if showing really archive stuff) in the top left - I assume this is put on by the ATP World Feed as they usually run the replays themselves.

WTA Toronto - last night's two delayed quarter-finals are going out simultaneously on BT Sport 3 and Extra 2 with the world feed commentary. Some juggling to follow before the first semi-final (with BT commentary) at 1800.
the Premier League coverage appears to have had a remix of the Everything Everything song which was introduced last season.

Was watching BTS3, it was pretty seamless with Sam Smith taking over at the end of the match to introduce highlights of the other.
Made a change from crashing into and out of the world feed mid-sentence (although I didn't catch the start of the coverage).
