It's actually upscaled HD - but the Leicester v Porto Youth League game is proper UHD.

I thought I spotted the timeline truck heading up the M1

That'll be OB16 - which is an HD truck that can also be coaxed into UHD.

UHD1 has had a busy few days: Wrexham v Chester in the Conference on Saturday, Man City v Chelsea in the WSL on Sunday, and providing pres facilities at Celtic v Man City last night.

Yep - OB16. Former SISLive combined uplink truck and small OB truck that Timeline bought when SIS closed their OB division. Nice little truck. If you can park it where you can cable to it AND see the right satellites it's a great solution for locations where parking is tight (as the uplink is built in - which is really unusual for a 'proper' OB truck)

Ahh. One of lifes little understated pleasures. Driving around on the motorway system and seeing an OBU or Satellite truck heading in the opposite direction and wondering where they are off to!

Saw a European Tour Production truck board the Stena Line ferry at Hook of Holland yesterday lunchtime.

Tournament in Germany finished Sunday, next week in Scotland.

Wish they would get rid of the graphics on BTS3, very distracting when watching WTA highlights last night.

Thought you could press red and go into SD and get rid of the L bar?

I didn't know this. Very rarely watch BT Sport 3.

According to this, it's not a done deal yet:

However if it is happening, someone mustn't have told BT Sport, who have just unveiled a new look for their sport graphics (their channel idents and presentation having only been rebranded the previous summer).

Unless of course, what we all thought was the rebrand is in fact a stop gap (no accident the bt globe went awol from the channel dogs) and in fact, waiting in the wings is a new set ready for when that new corporate identity is realised into the wild.

A little bit about Rugby Tonight in 4K - which involves driving Timeline's UHD1 in each week:

Look forward to the marketing jargon that comes with that one.

You know what they say about people who assume.

They're correct.

BT Sport have made late changes to their schedules today to show the WTA Tennis from Hong Kong where three Brits are competing.

Don't think it's been mentioned here yet that BT Sport's cricket coverage starts in the early hours of Thursday morning with Australia v South Africa. It's going be Channel 7's match coverage, with studio presentation by Greg James, and punditry by Michael Vaughan, Graeme Swann, Kevin Pietersen and Ricky Ponting. More details.
