BT Sport - Launch of BT Sport Ultimate

Which is why the channel was renamed BT Showcase.

The sound went off on BT Sport Europe during for around the first four minutes of the Under-21s match between Liverpool and Chelsea, with no apology. No apology either for the later picture disruption during the first half.

It didn't remove much of the atmosphere though, seeing as the crowd must total about 200.

I'm sure the ad said BT Sport Showcase though, but admit I may have been mistaken.

Seems to have been the latter - the long DOG was back last night.

Ofcom have objected to the terms imposed by BT on existing customers when continuing, downsizing or cancelling the service, BT have conceded changes to their original plans including introducing a four week decision window after receiving newly billed services.

BT are running a full test of their interactive services next Tues and Wed, all five playoffs each night will be shown.

The studio looks nice tonight - I think the first time they've used it since May - though I struggle to see what they've done with it.

Match line-ups graphics occupying whole 16:9 screen, no safe area at all.

Given that the Super Cup graphics have always been thinly veiled adaptions of the Champions League graphics it would certainty seem there will be new graphics this year. The font appears to be similar, if not the same as that used on the new Europa League logo.

Match is being simulcast on BT Sport/ESPN incidently - though I know at least two platforms where BT Sport Europe still isn't available.

The enhanced BT Sport App is also being test run, without publicity, up to eight different camera shots available for replayed action, three in slowmo. A work of art, it'll be interesting to see how it performs in full eight match play.

They just played it again, they're definitely advertising it as BT Sport Showcase.
