Can I (un)officially call this one 'Son of Rulers' or 'Lines'?

With all due respect, I'm not sure that 'Son of Rulers' makes much sense, because there's never been a BBC2 ident called 'Rulers'.

Son of Optics?

Watching the closedown from last night makes me wonder if they've remembered to update the 'This Is BBC Two' barker overnight. Might we see the old idents re-appear tonight?

No, you won't.

Whenever a rebrand of this scale comes along, I always find myself scanning news websites to see if it's mentioned, even though I know it's only a very small community of people who really care. Unsurprisingly, I found nothing on the BBC News website about it... but considering this is one of their trending articles, it makes you wonder if reporting on a rebrand will spice things up a bit.

I love that they called the chimney sweep sting an ident.
