Thinking back a few days, Christa Ackroyd seems like a cheaper version of Jane McDonald to me!

(Thinks - I'll stick with Suzanne, Nick & dear Mollie instead! )

Is Christa's starting every other sentence with "You know" starting to get on anybody else's nerves?

She's verging onto David Beckham terriority. As Becks once said: "You know you never know you know" Shocked

Just thought I'd take this opportunity to point out that they've got a work experience kid in at BBC Lincolnshire. I've highlighted the obvious errors:

Quote:
Pop concert cannot be rescheduled

A pop concert planned for Lincoln has been cancelled after attempts to reschedule it failed.

Pop band The Feeling were due to play at the castle on 24 July but probelms with health and safety paperwork saw the gig postponed.

Now the county council has admitted the band's commitments in the US make rescheduling impossible.

The police have also revealed that they are conducting an investigation into whether previous events breached rules.

Emergency services

At the time of the postponement, the council explained it had failed to give the required three months' notice to the emergency services.

A second concert by singer Marti Pellow went ahead on 23 July but had to be moved to a different venue.

Officials have now said applications for the licences needed for other events at Lincoln Castle have been submitted and they are hoping the Midsummer Magic concerts planned for 25, 26 and 27 of August will be able to go ahead.

At the time of the postponement, the council explained it had failed to give the required three months' notice to the emergency services.

On the politics show the guy from the Environment Agency said that Hull & East Yorkshire was one of the untold stories in the flooding.
BBC Yorkshire are managing to produce the Super League show and a special Look North reporting from the affected areas.

WHERE IS BBC HULL? ARE THEY ASLEEP OR IS IT THAT THEY CAN ONLY DO FLUFF AND BANTER. When news comes along they just cannot cope. Confused

Well you could have forgiven them for being preoccupied with BBC News and Sport on tour and coverage of Waddington air show - but both were cancelled.

Disappointing that Hull didn't manage a programme this weekend when Leeds did.

Alan Johnson news: the great man himself visited Hull in a rather terrible jumper. Top story on tonight's delayed programme (for the Diana concert).

Penny Bustin anchoring live from Toll Bar on last night's Leeds programme. Good effort all round from Leeds. Wonder whether that News24 simulcast brought in some extra budget for Leeds which has been put to good use in covering the floods?

The Super League Show always goes out across North, North West and North East regions... unless you're saying Leeds showed a programme on flooding in its place this week?

I see Leeds have started adding reporter email addresses onto their astons like Hull did when they first launched. Thought it was just for the floods, but now the regular graphics are back in play they also have the addresses on.
