I think I may have tipped her over the edge with my "Paul Hudson is moving to ITV" rumour.

There has been torrential rain in Yorkshire & Lincolnshire causing flooding, John Prescott has retired as Labour party deputy, Alan Johnson just missed out on the dupty job, A Hull baby is at the top of the European list for emergency heart transplants and the A1079 in the East Riding has been named as one of the worst 10 roads in britain.

So tonight on Look North we will no doubt be talking to Pauline who has lost her budgie on Hezzle Rooaad and Linda Barker who has got a new book out on designer suites.
Let's see what a c*ck up they make of the reporting tonight Laughing

Given todays events and the extremes of weather experienced in the Humber region, it should be a news packed Look North Hull.

It's times like this that the service should come into it's own, let's see what kind of job they make of it.

Tonight's Calendar is being presented from the newsroom due to apparantly the roof leaking in the studio

They've had to admit that the interview with Jane Tomlinson was done earlier, what with it being done in the studio!

To be fair, I thought Look Hull did pretty well tonight. Shame it took an extreme weather event to prompt a proper structured news programme.

If you lived in Hull you got a good news programme - unfortunately two thirds of the population of the East Riding were ignored as usual. Where was the story of the River Hull bursting its banks?
Where was the story of the East Riding Villages evacuated by the army?

It was quite heavily Hull focussed yes, although they did get to Louth for one report so I counted that at least in their favour.

Really? I take it we're not talking Jon Mitchell Laughing So does Small still visit this thread, or is his focus on this site these days?

LNH didn't do too badly tonight, all death, koi carps and destruction in "Hezzle", and Lincolnshire did manage to get a look-in. Sadly the long-awaited update on the Bransholme Underpass went amiss.

Obviously there was no flooding at all in Hunstanton or King's Lynn Wink-- even though they dedicated the whole programme to the inclement weather Wink

Quite a serious exchange between His Levyness and Paul; lots of time for "thank you very much indeed", "thank you for being there" and "a big response on emails" of course.

Calendar South covered things well, with reporters right across the sub-region in worst effected areas-- they seemed to be well-organised. Sadly lacking Jon the don, but we did have Jaaaw back in the YTV fold today.
